Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground meat beef, lamb, or chicken
  • 3 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 ripe tomatoes chopped
  • 2 whole green chilies slit lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • to taste salt
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • to taste fresh cilantro leaves chopped
  • to serve lemon wedges

Instructions
 

  • Wash, peel, and dice the potatoes into small cubes.
  • Chop the onion and tomatoes finely, and slit the green chilies.
  • Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat and add cumin seeds.
  • Sauté the onions until golden brown, then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add ground meat, breaking it apart, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Mix in tomatoes, chilies, turmeric, coriander, red chili powder, and salt; cook for 5 minutes.
  • Fold in diced potatoes and add ½ cup of water; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Serve with lemon wedges and naan for a complete meal.
