  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs
  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup shortening or butter
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 egg egg
