Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon for the swirl
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar for the glaze
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk for the glaze

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Mix brown sugar with 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar.
  • Gently swirl the batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Whisk powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk for the glaze and drizzle over the cooled bread.
