Ingredients
  

  • 4 large russet potatoes peeled and diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • ½ cup crispy bacon chopped
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a large pot over medium heat and sauté the onions until soft.
  • Add the diced potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then simmer until potatoes are fork-tender.
