  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda, then set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and sea salt until light and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
