  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it and setting it aside.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Stir the mixture until it is well combined.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until they are just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
  • If using walnuts, gently fold them into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
