  • ¾ cup buttermilk

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Combine butter and dry ingredients: add cold butter to dry ingredients and work into flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add buttermilk: pour in buttermilk and stir mixture with a fork until it forms a shaggy dough.
