  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup diced ham
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Add the diced ham, bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the bowl and stir to combine.
  • Add the gluten-free bread cubes to the bowl and toss until the bread is evenly coated with the egg mixture.
  • Arrange half of the bread mixture in the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining bread mixture, then the remaining cheese.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the casserole.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
