Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Japanese rice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 4 buns or bowls hamburger buns or rice bowls
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup beef gravy
  • green onions and sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Japanese rice according to package instructions.
  • Sauté the diced onion in vegetable oil until it becomes translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until it is browned.
  • Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  • Divide the cooked Japanese rice into 4 portions and shape each portion into a mound.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 4 portions and place each portion on top of the rice mound.
  • Fry the eggs in a separate skillet and place each egg on top of the beef mixture.
  • Spoon the beef gravy over the egg and beef mixture.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately in hamburger buns or rice bowls.
