  • 1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions
 

  • Gently sort through the crab meat to remove any shells or cartilage.
  • Combine the panko breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
  • Gently combine the crab meat, breadcrumb mixture, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, parsley, dill, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  • Divide the crab mixture into 6 portions and shape each into a round crab cake, about 1 ½ inches thick.
  • Chill the crab cakes in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
  • Heat the melted butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the crab cakes for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the crab cakes hot with your favorite tartar sauce or cocktail sauce.
