  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
