  • 1 medium lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • a pinch black pepper
  • a pinch cayenne pepper optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the ginger and turmeric by peeling and chopping them into smaller pieces.
  • Combine the chopped ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, and water in a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth, adding more water if necessary.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl.
  • Press down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Mix in a pinch of black pepper and cayenne pepper if desired.
  • Pour the shots into small containers or shot glasses.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature, shaking well before consuming.
