Valentine’s Delightful Muddy Buddies Recipe
Valentine Muddy Buddies are a sweet and festive treat made with Rice Chex cereal, coated in a creamy mixture of white chocolate and peanut butter, then dusted with strawberry sugar and sprinkles. Perfect for celebrating love on Valentine's Day.
Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries crushed into a fine powder
- ½ cup red and pink heart-shaped sprinkles
- a pinch salt
Instructions
- Measure 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal into a mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until well blended.
- Pour the melted mixture over the Rice Chex cereal and gently fold to coat without breaking the cereal.
- In a resealable plastic bag, combine powdered sugar and crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Add the coated cereal, seal, and shake until coated.
- Spread the muddy buddies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool.
- Sprinkle heart-shaped sprinkles over the cooled muddy buddies.
- Allow to set for about 30 minutes before serving.
